Dozens of terrorists eliminated in Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces continue inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in several sites in countryside of Damascus, Homs, Idleb and Aleppo.

The armed forces imposed full control over al-Etaiba area in the Eastern Gouta of Damascus countryside, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV Chanel reporter stressed.

In the same province, a military source told SANA that dozens of terrorists were killed today when they tried to attack a military post in Harasta district.

Other terrorists were reportedly eliminated in several alleys in Homs countryside and Idleb province during qualitative operations carried out by units of armed forces.

Meanwhile, terrorist groupings and hideouts were shelled in Aleppo province. Dozens of terrorists were killed, according to SANA.

Terrorist attack on Holy shrine

The same province saw a terrorist attack targeted a Holy shrine when al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists exploded one of the Great Omayyad Mosque’s minarets in Aleppo.

According to an official source, the terrorists booby-trapped the minarets before exploding it.

Last February, gunmen blasted the south wall of the Omayyad Mosque in Aleppo causing serious damages in it.

The mosque also was looted and its furniture was burnt by an armed terrorist group in November.

Few days ago, al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa province, south the country, blasted minaret of al-Omary Mosque, which is one of the oldest mosques in Islamic world.

 Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting al-Qaeeda affiliated terrorist groups to restore stability and security across the country.

The terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
