Dozens of Palestinians protest against Israeli occupation’s threat to destroy Al-Khan Al-Ahmar village in al-Quds
Dozens of Palestinians on Sunday took part in a stand in Khan al-Ahmar village in occupied al-Quds to express their rejection of the Israeli occupation’s threats to destroy the village.
The Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that the participants in the stand carried Palestinian flags and chanted slogans denouncing the occupation crimes against the Palestinians and calling on the international community to put pressure on the occupation authorities in order to prevent the demolition of Al-Khan al-Ahmar.
Chairman of the Commission for Resisting the Apartheid Wall and Settlements Walid Assaf said that the occupation is trying to take advantage of the remaining period of the term of US President Donald Trump in order to implement its plans to separate occupied al-Quds from the rest of the West Bank and to turn the West Bank cities and towns into isolated areas through demolition operations and settlement expansion.
Assaf indicated that the international community should take practical steps to stop the implementation of the occupation settlement plans and to hold the occupation accountable for the crimes against the Palestinians.
Al-Khan al-Ahmar is one of 45 villages the occupation authorities are planning to seize in order to establish more settlements. This plan threatens to displace more than 5,000 Palestinians, separating al-Quds from its vicinity and dividing the West Bank.
