Dozens of Palestinians participate in stands condemning occupation’s aggression on Gaza Strip

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Nov.28, (ST)- Dozens of Palestinians participated today in two solidarity stands in the West Bank, calling on the international community to adopt urgent action to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for the massacres it committed in the besieged Gaza Strip, and to stop the suffering of prisoners in its detention centers.

Wafa Agency reported that participants in the two stands, which were organized by the Palestinian national forces in the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm, raised Palestinian flags, pictures of martyrs and prisoners, and banners denouncing the continued crimes of the occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip  and its violation of humanitarian laws and customs, due to the absence of international accountability.

The participants also called on humanitarian and human rights institutions to stand by the prisoners held in the occupation’s jails, especially the sick ones, and to intervene urgently to protect them and put pressure on the occupation to release them, as the liberated prisoner Majd Raed Freihat confirmed yesterday that the prisoners are subjected to various types of oppression, abuse and torture, and are deprived of the most basic human rights.

For his part, the director of the Prisoner’s Club office in Tulkarm, Ibrahim Al-Nimr, warned of the escalation of arrests in the West Bank since the start of the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip, indicating that this escalation coincides with the escalation in the level of crimes and violations against prisoners and their families through mass revenge operations, assaulting them with severe beatings, and threatening to shoot them, in addition to operations of vandalism and destruction or demolishing homes.
