Dozens of Palestinians injured as a result of the occupation’s suppression of demonstrations in the West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem  (ST): Dozens of Palestinians suffered from suffocation today as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly anti-settlement demonstration of Kafr Qaddum, calling for the opening of the village street, which has been closed for about 18 years, east of Qalqilya in the West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the village and fired bullets and poison gas canisters at the participants in the demonstration, which came out to condemn the settlement practices of the occupation in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, which resulted in dozens of them suffocating, including children.

In the same context, a number of Palestinians also suffered from suffocation due to the suppression by the Israeli occupation forces of an anti-settlement demonstration in the village of Beit Dejen, east of Nablus, in the West Bank. 

Wafa news agency quoted a member of the Land Defense Committee in Beit Dejen Salim Abu Jaish as saying that the occupation forces fired poison gas canisters at the participants in the demonstration that came out in protest against the occupation’s seizure of swathes of the village’s lands to establish a new settlement outpost, which resulted in a number of them suffocating. 

Meanwhile, a number of Palestinians were suffocated due to the suppression by the Israeli occupation forces of an anti-settlement demonstration in the town of Beita, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

Wafa news agency quoted the Secretary of the Fatah movement in the town of Beita Munawar Bani Shamsa as saying that the occupation fired poison gas bombs at the Palestinians participating in the demonstration called by the Palestinian national groups at the summit of Mount Sabih, south of the town, which is under constant attacks by the occupation forces and extremist settlers to seize it, which led A number of them suffocated.
