Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Dozens of Palestinians participated on Monday in a solidarity stand in the besieged Gaza Strip with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation’s jails.
Palestinian media reported that the participants in the stand organized by the Palestinian national forces in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of sick prisoners and hunger strikers.
They called on the international community and human rights institutions to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their grave violations against prisoners and release them immediately.
Six prisoners are continuing their hunger strike, the oldest of whom is Kayed Fasfous, who has been on strike for 117 days, Miqdad Al Qawasma for 110 days, Alaa Al Araj for 93 days, Hisham Abu Hawash for 83 days, Ayyad Al Harimi for 47 days, and Luay Al Ashkar for 29 days.
The Israeli occupation authorities are incarcerating more than 5,000 Palestinian and Arab prisoners for resisting its occupation of their homeland. Many of these prisoners have been in prison for more than 26 years.
