Dozens of Palestinians call for the immediate release of sick prisoners from Israel jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)_Dozens of Palestinians have called on humanitarian organizations and the International Red Cross  to immediately interfere to save the life of Palestinian prisoners  in the Israeli jails.

The call was made during a solidarity stand staged on Tuesday in the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank, according to WAFA News agency.

The agency quoted Director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club in Tulkarm Ibrahim Al-Nimr as saying that the health condition of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails is dangerous amid the outbreak of Covid-19.

“It is time to release all sick prisoners, particularly the cancer-stricken prisoner Moatasem Raddad, who has been suffering from pains dues to medical negligence.”

The Palestinian prisoners are subjected to ill-treatment, deliberate medical negligence and physical and verbal abuse, media reports affirm.

There are 4,600 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails,  including 1,800 sick prisoners who are in need of sustained medical attention.
