Divine Mass held in St. Sarkis Church for the Armenian Orthodox in commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide
Damascus (ST): A Divine Mass was held today in St. Sarkis Church of the Armenian Orthodox in Damascus, in commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The mass was led by Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Damascus. A number of heads and representatives on Christian denominations in Damascus joined the event.
Naalbandian, in a speech delivered at the mass, said that the anniversary of massacres perpetrated against the Armenian people is a dishonor to the human conscience.
“The anniversary reminds us of the fact that Man is able to perpetrate the most heinous sins if there is an escape from punishment,” the Primate said.
