The participation of the Syrian Automobile Club in the Citadel and Wadi Festival, which was held recently in Homs, received a great response from the public, who found it an opportunity to get acquainted closely with motorsports.
The club’s participation in the festival was through a display of professional drift cars, including the contestants Ahmed Al-Najjar, Iyad Al-Afghani, Amer Sukkarieh, Ghazi Al-Jabi, Maher Al-Fawal and Malaz al-Samman, who are speed professionals.
The show took place in al-Hawash area in conjunction with the Scout Show. The main show was in the vicinity of al-Hosn Castle, in the presence of a large audience, where the contestants presented a distinguished technical level through two exhibition tours for each contestant, and then a two-wheeler drift tour.
In a new experience for the club in the festival, an electronic race was organized by the participants, according to the club’s sports director, Eng. Abi Zakkar, who explained that the purpose of the participation in the festival is to shed light on motor sports, especially electronic races, which are among the club’s priorities.
