The Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Maher Al-Shara’a, discussed with a delegation from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) ways to enhance the health sector in Syria.
During a meeting held today at the Ministry, both sides discussed the key areas that could improve the quality of services and respond to health challenges across various provinces.
Dr. Al-Sharaa indicated that the Ministry has developed a crisis response plan to overcome the difficulties in the health sector and is working at full capacity to improve the quality and standards of healthcare services provided to patients.
Dr. Al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation with international and local organizations and institutions to achieve the Ministry’s goals of raising the level of healthcare and developing public health systems.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Hussein Al-Khatib, along with several directors and relevant officials.
