Discussion of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between SANA and the Omani News Agency

On January 15th, the Director General of the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Iyad Wannous, discussed with the Director General of the Omani News Agency, Ibrahim Al-Azri, ways to enhance aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two agencies, in a way that develops the media content that they provide to the public

During a meeting coordinated by the Syrian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman through the Google Meet serviceSyria’s ambassador to the Sultanate, Dr. Idris Mia, stressed at the beginning of the meeting the importance of strengthening relations of cooperation and coordination between the two agencies in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

In turn, Wannous stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and news services and thinking about joint media productions between the two agencies

For his part, Al-Azri renewed the Sultanate of Oman’s support for Syria, and affirmed readiness to develop cooperation and coordination with SANA to achieve the greatest possible benefit between the two agencies and their cadres

He said that the Omani media was and still is keen to be objective and transparent in its handling of all issues that concern it would enhance joint Arab action and reject terrorism in all its forms.
