Sweida (ST): The Directorate of Agriculture in Sweida provided about 20,000 free plants to support afforestation campaigns and afforestation plans for the current season.
The head of the forestry department in the Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Anas Abu Fakhr, stated in a statement to news reporter today that the free distribution takes place for the purposes of artificial reforestation for the sites set in the plan, in addition to meeting the needs of universities, institutes, schools, government hospitals, temples and cemeteries, after obtaining the necessary approvals.
According to Abu Fakhr, the department distributes five free forest seedlings to families wishing to plant in their home gardens or any land belonging to them, as part of the family reforestation campaigns launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, as they are obtained under the family card through coordination with administrative units.
