Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums, German Archaeological Institute discuss ways to enhance cooperation

Director General of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums Anas Haj Zidan and Director of the German Archeological Institute in Damascus, Dr. Claudia Borig, discussed ways to enhance cooperation to support the Syrian cultural heritage and opportunities for cultural partnerships.

Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums stated today that discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening cultural partnership.

The talks also dealt with opportunities for cooperation in the fields of training cadres and securing supplies and equipment to protect, document and restore archaeological events and sites.

Cooperation in the areas of research and postgraduate studies was also discussed.

The meeting was attended by active experts from the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums.
