Director of the General Establishment for International Fairs and Markets: “Expo Syria 2024” is a platform for promoting Syrian exports

Director of the General Establishment for International Fairs and Markets Halim Al-Akhras stressed that Expo Syria 2024 is an important step towards the recovery of the exhibition sector that has suffered from the conditions of war and the unjust siege on Syria, considering that the exhibition is an important platform for promoting Syrian exports of all kinds.
Within the activities of the Syrian Exports Exhibition Expo 2024, which opened on Wednesday in the New Exhibition City in the countryside of Damascus, Al-Akhras said in a statement to SANA correspondent that exhibitions constitute the most important tools for promoting and shedding light on local products, their types and features, indicating that the establishment has taken all necessary steps to make the exhibition a success through real partnership between the public and private sectors, which contributed to reaching the organization of this event that befits the Syrian product in various fields.
Regarding the participation of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority in the exhibition, Director Thaer Fayyad said that it is participating with an introductory pavilion about the authority and its programs, in partnership with the Syrian Source Encyclopedia, with the aim of highlighting the services of the authority and the support programs it provides.
Fayyad pointed out that the authority’s pavilion represents an inquiry center for Syrian exports, as it provides foreign delegations with all data related to Syrian exports and their destinations, and manufacturing companies.
It is noteworthy that Expo Syria 2024 exhibition continues until next Sunday, and 600 national companies from various industrial sectors “engineering, textile, food and pharmaceutical industries” are participating in it, on an area of  ​​50 thousand square meters.
