Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Idlib, Firas Kardous and a delegation from United Nation International Children’s Emergency fund (UNICEF), inspected several camps in the governorate including Al-Kamouna Camp in Sarmada to assess the conditions of the displaced and evaluate challenges hindering their return to their homes.
Kardous also inspected other camps in the governorate along with a delegation from the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Deputy Governor of Idlib.
During both tours, Kardous with UNICEF and UNHCR representatives reviewed the humanitarian situation in the camps and listened to the basic needs of the residents to improve living conditions, support education, and provide healthcare. They also discussed ways to enhance humanitarian response and offer sustainable solutions to address their circumstances.
