Director of Damascus Hospital denies the existence of Corona-virus infections

Damascus (ST):  Director General of Damascus Hospital Dr. Samer Khider affirmed the non-existence of any Corona-virus infection in the hospital. In a statement, Dr. Khider said that what has been circulated by some social media outlets is groundless and it aimed to disseminate sedition and fear among citizens.

He added that the cases that came to the hospital were the seasonal influenza which usually  increases in winter, noting that suitable treatment have been offered to them.

 Dr. Khider went on to say that a man in his forties came to the hospital yesterday with a severe influenza condition, and as part of preemptive measures we kept him in the hospital to offer him the appropriate treatment and observe his medical condition.
