Dialogue is Key to Regional Stability and Peace,Larijani Says
Tehran –Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Mondaythat stability and tranquility of the region and the world community will be possible through dialogue.
Larijani made the remark in a meeting with Swedish Minister for Health Care, Public Health and Sport, Gabriel Wikstrom.
He said that dialogue is Iran’s strategy for solving the current crises and help restore the international peace and security in the region and global community.
He added that to this end, Iran is ready for cooperation with Europe.
Larijani, voicing pleasure with recent progress in economic and industrial ties between Iran and Sweden, said that abundant opportunities are available for expansion of ties in environment protection, clean energies, health, medication and technology and the two sides should benefit from them in line with mutual interest.
Underlining Iran’s interest in expansion of friendly and close ties with Sweden in various domains, Larijani urged facilitation of banking ties and elimination of barriers on business with Iran.
He called for promotion of parliamentary cooperation with Sweden.
Larijani said that consolidation of ties between Iranian and Swedish parliaments can help remove many obstacles and get better knowledge about various regional and international issues.
He cited dubious policies on campaign against terrorism and illicit drugs as well as human rights and said they are major causes of growing problems and intricacies.
Wikström for his part voiced pleasure with fruitful outcome of visit to Tehran and said Sweden wants constant, long-term and friendly ties with
Iran and the current and future visits of Swedish senior political and economic officials to Iran fall in the same line.
He underlined interest of Swedish companies in investment in various sectors in Iran and said Swedish private companies and sectors are highly motivated to be present in Iranian diversified markets and seek expansion of ties with Iranian traders and companies.
He said that the Swedish government is keen on durable stability and peace in west of Asia through Iran help.
‘Alike Iran, Sweden believes in settlement of regional crises through political means and is willing to play an effective role in this connection.’
He said campaign against illicit drugs and terrorism ad issues of interest to Sweden in cooperation with Iran.
Minister of Health, Medication and Medical Education Hassan QazizadehHashemi was present in the meeting.
