Development of Work Status at RITS Discussed

(ST) – The Industry Minister Kamaleddin Tomah recently discussed with the Management of Research and Industrial Tests Center (RITC) ways and means to develop the work of the Centre for the benefit of developing the capabilities of the national industrial sector and increase the competitiveness of its products in domestic and overseas markets.

The minister, during a visit to the center, briefed on the center’s work, researches and  projects carried out by the specialized directorates, the importance of taking advantage of the available capabilities and competencies at the center to find a means of implementing new projects and developing the work and production of industrial companies.

The Minister praised the efforts of workers at the center, stressing that the industrial sector succeeds through supporting centers that work on innovations, testing and accurately identifying the specifications of machinery, equipment and laboratories to be able to do its job.

He pointed to the importance of applications carried out by the Research Directorate at the center and thus contributing to its success in reducing production costs and fixed expenses, thus increasing the competitiveness of products and the benefit of the citizens.

 For his part, Director General of the Center, Nabil Oun underlined the continuing work of doing tests and applications on projects and developing the capacity of the industry to create new products, sharing in the reduction of production costs and increasing the capabilities of the industrial establishments.

The Director of Research at the Center, Essam al -Mou’ayed showed a number of the center’s samples of applications and inventions that rely on wind energy and solar energy for the production of sustainable model devices that reduce fuel consumption in cars running on gasoline to about 30 percent and other inventions in the process of building houses that save effort and money.
