Muscat, (ST) – A delegation representing the Damascus Chamber of Industry, discussed here yesterday with a number of Omani officials ways to develop investment, economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries and increase the volume of trade and the promotion of investment in Syria.
On the sidelines of the 3rd Business Opportunities Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman, the Syrian delegation met with the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Oman Dr. Ali al-Saidi, who stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of expertise and increase the volume of trade exchange to meet the needs of the Syrian and Omani markets.
The Executive Chief of the Omani International Centre for Exhibitions, Saleh Al Habsi, and the Head of the Board of Directors of Sham Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, Juma Azima, discussed a number of ideas to support the reciprocal exhibitions between the two countries in addition to organize the exhibition “Made in Syria” in the Sultanate of Oman to promote Syrian industrial products and open markets for them.
Syria’s Ambassador in Oman Farouk Qaddour, during a meeting with the delegation, stressed his willingness to cooperate and promote the Syrian industrial products in the Sultanate of Oman and facilitate all transactions with the Omani side.
