Desperate Attempt

From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, the US and Israel have been involved in supporting the Takfiri terrorist organizations, especially in the aftermath of every victory realized by the Syrian Arab army. The recent tripartite aggression launched by the US, Britain and France is considered a desperate attempt to help the defeated terrorists as they were recently uprooted from eastern Ghouta by the Syrian Arab army and the allied forces.  The new aggression on Syria came as a revenge for the defeat of these three countries’ terrorist proxies in Ghouta.

The US and Zionists attack Syria whenever terrorists suffer a setback. The US and the Zionist entity have always interfered to raise the morale of the terrorists in Syria as the terrorists are going through difficult times. The aggression is a clear violation of the international law that comes in the context of strengthening terrorism. Such desperate attempts will not dissuade the Syrian Army and the allied forces from continuing to crush the terrorist groups that act as Israel’s proxy in the area. The Israeli and Western support of the takfiri terrorist groups operating in Syria will never make the Syrian army and people succumb to the US Zionist project. Rather it will increase their determination to press ahead with their battle against takfiri terrorism until eliminating it and restoring security and stability to Syria.

The aggression of western arrogance and hegemony regimes came as a result of the feeling with frustration due to the failure of the conspiratorial project and in response to the defeat of their tools of the terrorist organizations in front of the progress achieved by the Syrian Arab Army.

This aggression gives a message to terrorists encouraging them to use chemical weapons once again in the future. The aggression is a frank and direct support to the criminal gangs and terrorism to which they provided financial, political and media support.

The unjustified aggression on a sovereign state and a founding member of the United Nations is an attempt to foil the work of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in Douma city in Eastern Ghouta.

The brutal barbaric aggression, which was met by the high spirit of the Syrian people who took to streets and squares in condemnation of this attack, will not affect the determination and will of the Syrian people and their armed forces to continue pursuing the remnants of Takfiri terrorism and defending Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and restoring its security and stability. These attacks will only boost the determination of the Syrian people and army in defending Syria’s sovereignty and national dignity.

The pretexts and excuses on which the aggression relied on were baseless that based on a failed scenario which was exploited to carry out this aggression.

Last week, the Israeli occupation forces launched an aggression on the Syrian territories showing its constant support for the terrorist organizations. The Israeli aggression on the T-4 Airport in the countryside of Homs would not have been possible without the US limitless support.

 The US and Israeli attack constitute an indirect response to the Syrian Arab Army’s success in repelling the armed terrorist groups from the outskirts of Damascus city, Damascus Countryside and other areas nationwide, after these groups went too far in their terror atrocities of killing, kidnapping civilians and using them as human shields.

The repeated US and Israeli aggression on Syria has never been able to protect Israel’s partners and agents represented by the terrorist groups, nor were they able to distract the Syrian Arab Army from achieving success against terrorism.

The repeated US and Israeli attacks have become systematic behavior with the aim of protecting Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorists. It is unacceptable that the UNSC has not taken decisive measures to put an end to such flagrant attacks. Any attack against the Syrian Arab army forms a direct support to terrorism, taking into account that the Syrian Arab army is fighting terrorism on behalf of the entire world.  Such attacks will have catastrophic consequences  which complement the ISIS crimes and practices to escalate the situation and fuel the region and the world.

This new aggression doesn’t contribute to finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria, but impeded all ongoing attempts for ending the suffering of the Syrian people. It is also an act which could have serious repercussions that threaten the region’s security and stability.
