Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium: Brussels cannot remain silent in the face of the genocide in Gaza

Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Petra De Sutter believed that her country cannot remain silent regarding the Israeli massacres and genocide in the Gaza Strip.

De Sutter, representative of the Flemish Green Party in the ruling coalition, said in a statement on the X platform: “Belgium cannot stand by and watch the endless suffering of the people in Gaza”.

De Sutter called for supporting the case filed by the Republic of South Africa before the International Court of Justice, which accuses “Israel” of committing genocide, stressing that she will submit a proposal to her government to follow the example of South Africa in filing a lawsuit against “Israel” before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

De Sutter had previously said: The time has come to boycott the Israeli occupation entity, considering that dropping bombs like rain is inhumane and that it is clear that the occupation does not care about international calls for a ceasefire.
