Denmark: Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories are illegal

Denmark has confirmed that Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal, calling on the Israeli occupation to back down from its plans to establish 3,426 new settlement units in the West Bank.

“The Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. Denmark joins the European Union in calling on Israel to withdraw its recent approval to establish 3,426 new units in settlements in the occupied West Bank” Wafa reported Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen as saying on the “X” platform

European Union foreign policy official Josep Borrell condemned the new settlement occupation plan, indicating that the Union urges Israel to retreat from it.
