Demonstrators in Istanbul Urge Erdogan’s Regime to Halt Support for Terrorists in Syria

ANKARA- Hundreds of Syriac, Assyrian and Keldanian demonstrators yesterday took to the streets of Istanbul to protest the Turkish government of the Justice and Development Party’s support for the armed terrorist organizations in Syria.

The demonstrators condemned the crimes being committed in Syria by the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terrorist organization.

They stressed their full solidarity with the Syriac, Assyrian and Keldanian citizens in Syria and Iraq who are being exposed to most heinous crimes by ISIL terrorists. They urged the international community to voice solidarity with those victims and to enhance international coordination and cooperation against the terrorist extremist organization of ISIL and other terrorist groups operating in Syria and Iraq.

Earlier, the Turkish former Minister of State (Ofouq Swilmaz) held President of the Turkish regime Recepe Tayyib Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, responsible for the ongoing bloody events in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Egypt that serve the imperialist and Zionist schemes in the region. He affirmed the involvement of Erdogan and Davutoglu in supporting the terrorist organizations in Syria under several “jihadi” pretexts and sectarian policies.

The terrorists of ISIL have committed horrible massacres against the people in several villages in the Syrian province of Hassaka and burnt one of the oldest churches in Tel Hurmiz area in addition to tens of houses in the Tel Shamiran, Tel Nasri, al-Aghbeesh, Toumayelda and l-Hawooz areas in Hassaka.
