Demonstrations in West Bank cities in support for Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention centers

Several cities in the West Bank witnessed demonstrations in support for Palestinian detainees who are subjected to the most horrific violations in Israeli occupation detention centers.

Participants in the vigils, called for by the Palestinian national forces in Tulkarm, Qalqiliya, and Jenin, raised pictures of a number of prisoners and banners denouncing the occupation’s crimes against them, including the crime of depriving them of the most basic rights guaranteed to them by international laws, and calling on international human rights institutions to assume their responsibilities and pressure the occupation to release them, WAFA News Agency reported.

The coordinator of the national factions in Tulkarm, Faisal Salama, said: The Palestinian people will continue to stand by the prisoners who struggled and spent their years in prison for freedom, warning of the danger of the torture and abuse they are being exposed to, and calling on human rights institutions to work hard to oblige the occupation to implement the Geneva Conventions regarding prisoners and stop violations against them.
