Demonstrations in several American cities  demanding an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Washington, (ST) – Hundreds of people participated in the city of Seattle, Washington State, in a huge demonstration that roamed the city’s streets, demanding an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.

The participants in the demonstrations also demanded the entry of aid into the cities of the Strip. Activists also carried out a sit-in in front of one of the city’s buildings in solidarity with Palestine.

Wafa News Agency reported that activists staged a sit-in in front of a building in the city of Seattle during US President Joe Biden’s visit there, in denunciation and protest of his silence on the call to stop the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza Strip. The protesters demanded an end to financial and military support to the occupation authorities.

In the city of St. Louis, Missouri, hundreds of activists participated in a demonstration that demanded that the US administration pressure the occupation to stop the invasion of Rafah.

Another demonstration was organized in front of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, to demand an immediate and permanent cessation of the aggression, an end to the siege imposed on Gaza, and an end to the occupation. A march was also organized.

Another in Baltimore, Maryland, called on Biden to stop funding the “genocide” committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.

On the other hand, American university students continue their protests  demanding an end to the aggression. Students and professors from Harvard University participated in a protest inside the university to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza.

Students and professors also withdrew in a protest move from the Virginia Commonwealth University graduation ceremony in protest against the opening speech delivered by the Governor of Virginia who had earlier called on the police to launch a brutal attack on demonstrators who were demanding an end to Israeli aggression.

Students from Canada’s McGill University continue their sit-in to denounce the aggression against Gaza

Meanwhile, in Montreal, a number of students at McGill University in Montreal, Canada continue to carry out a sit-in, within a camp at the university, to protest against the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and its brutal crimes, despite the university administration’s threat to call the police to dismantle it.

AP reported that, similar to the sit-ins witnessed by many American universities in solidarity with the Palestinians, hundreds of students have been camping for two weeks in the heart of the famous McGill University, whose administration threatened to resort to the police and dismantle the camp.

Yesterday, the Canadian police forcefully dismantled a student sit-in in solidarity with the Palestinian people at the University of Alberta in the Canadian city of Edmonton, and arrested three people.
