Elizabeth Warren and Joe Wilson sent a letter to the US Secretaries of State and Treasury on Syria sanctions.

They said that the broad restrictions on Syria target a regime that no longer exists. These restrictions threaten to undermine US national security objectives and hinder reconstruction.
