Delegated by President Al-Assad, Azzam congratulates the Armenian denomination in Syria on Christmas

Delegated by President Bashar Al-Assad, Secretary General of the Presidency Mansour Azzam visited Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Metropolitan of the Armenian Orthodox Diocese of Damascus and conveyed to him and the Armenian denomination in Syria the President’s congratulations and best wishes on Christmas.

For his part, Bishop Nalbandian thanked President Al-Assad for his generous gesture and for congratulating the Christian denominations in Syria on Christmas, praying to God to protect Syria and its president and people.

Nalbandian pointed out that Christmas came this year while pain is filling the hearts of the people of the nation out of grief over the crimes of genocide and displacement committed by the Zionist enemy against the brotherly Palestinian people.

It is to be noted that the Armenian Orthodox community in Syria celebrates Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, the messenger of love and peace, on the 6th of January.
