Defense Minister visits military position in southern region

Damascus – Upon instructions from President Bashar al-Assad, Defense Minister Gen. Fahed Jassem al-Freij conducted on Monday a field visit to a military position in the southern region, accompanied by officers from the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.

Al-Freij met the soldiers in the position and relayed to them President al-Assad’s greetings and his pride in them, while field commanders briefed the minister on the nature of their operations, SANA reported.

 

Al-Freij said that the battle with terrorism will continue, and that the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army are the deciding factor in eliminating terrorism.

The Minister concluded the visit by providing instructions to the commanding officers and the soldiers, wishing them success in their duties.
