Defense minister visits army units in Homs eastern countryside
Damascus – Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij visited army units in Homs eastern countryside.
Al-Freij met the army members, commending their efforts and sacrifices in defense of the country, SANA reported.
Al-Freij, who listed to the army’s members’ accounts about their combat missions, stressed that it is a national and ethical duty to track down and fight terrorists wherever they are.
He affirmed that the armed forces are more determined than ever to uproot terrorism in cooperation with the friends of Syria.
The army members affirmed their determination to offer whatever sacrifices needed for protecting Syria.
