Defense Minister visits a military formation in Lattakia countryside

Damascus – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij visited one of the military formations in the countryside of Lattakia.

Gen. al-Freij conveyed the appreciation of President al-Assad and his pride in the soldiers and their sacrifices.

The minister listened to a detailed explanation by the commanders on the nature of the operations conducted in the area against terrorist groups, providing them with his directives, SANA reported.

 

Al-Freij pointed out that the Syrian Arab Army proved in all the battles it waged against terrorists that it is an army of brave men, pointing out that Syria under the leadership of President al-Assad will achieve victory.

In turn, the soldiers affirmed that they will remain a watchful eye on homeland and will make all sacrifices to defend it.

The Minister also visited several military facilities in Lattakia.

The minister also visited injured army personnel at Tishreen University Hospital and wished them a swift recovery.
