Defense Minister tours military positions

Aleppo – Upon directives from President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Command-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij conducted a field tour on Saturday in which he inspected a number of military positions in Aleppo and its countryside in the direction of al-Sheikh Saeed, al-Naqarin, and west of al-Nairab Airport, SANA reported.

During the tour, Minister al-Freij, accompanied by officers from the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces, met with soldier and relayed to them the greetings and salutations of President al-Assad.

 

Al-Freij also visited a number of liberated neighborhoods in the areas of Hanao, Bani Zeid, and al-Castello crossing, and was briefed by field commanders on the nature of operations being carried out, the achievements made in Aleppo and its countryside, and the steps taken to provide the needs of the citizens that are liberated by the Syrian Arab Army and escorted out of the eastern neighborhoods of the city.

The Minister discussed with field commanders the plans for upcoming operations and the tasked entrusted to them, providing them with his directives and lauding their monumental efforts and bravery, affirming that the battle against terrorism will continue until security and stability are restored to all of Syria.
