Defense Minister: Syrian Army Victory only way to Eradicate Terrorism, Restore Security and Stability to Homeland

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Deputy Commander General of the army and the armed forces and defense minister Gen. Fahd Freij stressed that the victories achieved by the Syrian army against Takfiri gangs are but the only way to eradicate terrorism and restore security and stability to the homeland.

During a field visit to one fighting formation, accompanied by several army officers yesterday, Gen. Fareij conveyed to the army leadership officers and fighters President Bashar al-Assad’s greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, pointing “pride of the Syrian people in their heroism and resistance against the conspiracy being waged by Western colonialist forces and their hirelings “.

The minister was briefed with acts carried out by military units in response to the terrorist gangs, noting the sacrifices of the army fighters to maintain the country’s security and preservation of its dignity and pride.

He, moreover, visited the army wounded and listened to explanations made by the medical staff about provided medical and therapeutic services, praising their efforts for ensuring speedy recovery for the army brave fighters.

Meantime, Chief of staff of the army and the armed forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayub visited wounded of the army and armed forces and congratulated them on the Eid, wishing them speedy recovery, and commending efforts of the medical staff and their readiness to provide health care for the wounded.
