Defense Minister: Our Armed Forces more Capable , Determined to Fight Terrorists

Damascus, (ST)_Army Deputy Commander in Chief and Defense Minister Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij stressed that the armed forces  today are, “more capable and determined to fight terrorists and eliminate them no matter how numerous the  forms of support provided to them by parties of aggression led by the Zionist enemy.”

This came when Maj. Freij accompanied by army officers yesterday toured a number of combat units and military points in the southern region,  during which he was acquainted with the armed   forces  readiness and  measures and actions taken in defense of the safe civilian areas and retaliating  terrorist organizations trying to attack the citizens.

Gen. Freij  conveyed greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to the heroes of fighters who work day and night to restore security and stability to the country.

He reiterated that Syria’s victory over aggression “will be thanks to the sacrifices of the armed forces men and their heroism ” expressing the military leadership  pride over their efforts and sacrifices to protect the homeland against  conspirators .

He listened to  explanations on the nature of the area and its military fortifications , praising the high morale and fighting spirit enjoyed by the armed forces  men and their heroism  to protect the country and restore security and stability to the homeland.
