Defense Minister meets his Iranian counterpart, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh

General Ali Mahmoud Abbas, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces – Minister of Defense, met with Brigadier General Aziz Nasir Zadeh, Iranian Minister of Defense. 

The two sides discussed the coordination and cooperation between the two friendly armies, especially in combating terrorism and its organizations in all its forms and exchanging information in this regard.

A reception ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense building, and after the national anthems of the two friendly countries were played, the two ministers reviewed the guard of honor. Then bilateral talks were held between the two sides during which the latest developments in the region,  and the prospects for joint cooperation were reviewed.

In the same context, General Abdul Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, met with the Iranian Minister of Defense and his accompanying delegation. The two sides held talks on developing aspects of cooperation between the armies of the two countries, especially in the field of training and exchanging expertise in combating terrorism.
