Defense Minister inspects units operating in Daraa countryside, visits injured army personnel

Damascus – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij conducted a field visit to any army unit in Daraa countryside accompanied by officers from the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.

Al-Freij relayed to the unit’s personnel the greetings of President al-Assad, and was briefed by field commanders about the missions being carried out and the level of readiness, with the Minister commending their efforts.

The Minister also visited injured Army and Armed Forces personnel at Tishreen Military Hospital, relaying to them the greetings of President al-Assad and wishes for recovery, SANA reported.

The medical staff informed al-Freij about the injured soldiers’ conditions and the services provide to them.
