PROVINCES,(ST)_Defense Minister underscored on Thursday that Syria will achieve victory over aggression thanks to its people’s awareness and support for armed forces.
LT. Gen. Fahed al-Frej’s remark came during his visit to the military hospital of Yousef al-Admeh to inspect situation of injured soldiers.
He highly praised the armed forces’ readiness to offer sacrifices in order to defend citizens and homeland against foreign enemies and their tools inside the country.
Meanwhile, armed forces eliminated dozens of non-Syrian terrorists of Jordanian, Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, Kuwaiti, Yemini, Moroccan, and Libyan nationalities.
The Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists were eliminated and their weapons were destroyed in qualitative operations carried out by armed forces in different villages in countryside of Lattakia, according to SANA.
It was also reported that the armed forces inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in several sites in countryside of Damascus, Der Ezzour, and Homs.
On the other hand, the armed forces found one ton of explosives inside a factory for producing explosive devices in west farms of Daraya suburb in Damascus countryside.
They, in addition, killed many terrorists in clashes broke out in the same suburb.
Furthermore, a terrorist group’s attempt to sneak into Syria from Lebanon was foiled yesterday by armed forces and boarder guards.
Armed groups expel locals in Hama
As for situation in Hama province, al-Watan newspaper reported that the armed groups had expelled citizens from their homes in several villages in Hama countryside because they had rejected to stand by them.
It clarified that armed groups used the homes, schools and some official centers to attack army posts.
“The armed groups use private and public cars, which they have stolen from state establishments and citizens, in their attacks,” the paper added.
It sees that the armed groups’ current escalation in the countryside comes as a result of their failure to make gains in Hamas city.
120 terrorists killed in Daraa
Regarding situation in Daraa province, al-Khabar TV channel reported that 120 terrorists were killed and 200 were arrested in qualitative operation carried out yesterday.
Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting terrorist groups to restore stability and security to the country.
The terrorist groups, who are exported from 40 countries, perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
