Defending champions Spain arrive in Brazil

The Spanish delegation arrived on Sunday evening in Brazil, ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. The defending champions are aiming to win their fourth major title in a row, after winning the UEFA EURO in 2008 and 2012 and the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

 

On Saturday, Vicente Del Bosque’s squad defeated El Salvador 2-0 in a friendly match in Maryland, USA. They departed from Washington on Sunday morning and landed at Curitiba International Airport.

During their stay in Brazil, the Spanish team will be based in CT do Caju Team Base Camp. Spain are in Group B with Netherlands, Chile and Australia. Their debut in the tournament will be on 13 June in Salvador, against Netherlands.
