Medical sources said the death toll of the Israeli occupation’s violent shelling of the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, has surged to 71 and about 200 wounded, which coincided with the forced displacement of civilians under catastrophic humanitarian and medical conditions, WAFA News Agency reported on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces launched intensive air raids on the eastern districts of Khan Yunis, killing dozens of civilians and injuring about 200 others.
The eastern areas of Khan Yunis have been subjected to growing forced displacement, forcing civilians to leave and seek shelter far from the targeted areas, either on foot or using primitive means of transport.
Monday evening, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that two of its clinics were put out of service due to their location in areas east of Khan Yunis, which the occupation has ordered its evacuation.
