De Mistura: Iran Has Constructive Approach in Syrian Talks

Madrid – Special representative of the UN Secretary General for Syrian Affairs Staffan de Mistura said that Iran had constructive approach in Syrian talks.

He made the remarks in an interview with the Spanish daily El Paish published on Tuesday.

De Mistura said the refugee crisis, Russian military action and ISIL advances caused the developments in Syria, so that ISGG, which included states in the crisis and effective states in the crisis, like Iran and Italy gathered first in Vienna and then Munich to talk about the problem and to this end Russia and the US took responsibility directly, instead of the UN Security Council.

I can say that since establishment of international group to support Syria,Tehran’s government had always a constructive approach toward the issue and never opposed a ceasefire,’ he added.
