Davutoglu: Erdogan’s regime depends on theft and corruption

The former Prime Minister of the Turkish regime and the leader of the Future Party Ahmet Davutoglu, said that the regime’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seeks to consolidate his influence and promote the interests of the narrow circle surrounding him.

“Any country that is said to be a democracy cannot prosecute lawyers in the streets, beat them, insult them and prevent them from entering the capital,” Davutoglu said during his party rally on July 6.

 

“Erdogan’s regime controls the private and government media and can say whatever it wants while preventing others including lawyers to express their opinion.”

Davutoglu stressed the necessity not to be silent about the excesses and practices of the Turkish regime in light of its dependence on the thefts, looting and corruption that are rampant everywhere.

Davutoglu described the Turkish regime as “authoritarian and the enemy of democracy”.

Davutoglu had resigned last September from the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey.
