Daraa Olive Production Estimated about 25,ooo Tons

Daraa, (ST)- Director of Agriculture estimated Daraa production of olive fruits during this season about 25 thousand tons of the total amount of the cultivated area amounted to 29731  hectares in addition to the production of about 7 thousand tons of olive oil compared to 70 thousand tons in the previous seasons.

Director of Agriculture in Daraa Abdel Fattah al Rahhal attributed in a statement to local press the low production this year to drought and the current circumstances that prevented farmers from delivering basic services to their trees,”noting that the number of olive trees planted in the governorate of around 6, 245 million.

The Directorate of Agriculture estimated the production of Daraa last season of 25 thousand tons of fruits compared to 30 thousand tons in the previous season.
