Daraa, (ST) – Daraa Directorate of Education, in cooperation with the local community, has restored and put 14 schools into service after rehabilitating them from the damage caused by terrorism.
The Head of the School Buildings Department in the Directorate of Education, Engineer Radi Aloni, said in a statement to SANA reporter on Sunday that, the schools included Telshehab School for Basic Education, Deir Al-Bakht High School, and the Green School in Daraa city. He indicated that, the local community contributed to restoring Karak Fourth and Sixth Schools, Busra Al-Harir Secondary School, and eight schools in Sidon for service.
Al-Aloni said that work is underway to rehabilitate five schools from the budget of the Directorate of Education. He added that, the Directorate has to partially restore 103 schools, 20 of which are currently being worked on.
It is noteworthy that since 2018 to this date, about 96 schools have been restored and put into service in Daraa after their rehabilitation.
