Damascus University hosts Chilean philosopher Gustavo Cataldo for a lecture on the Chilean philosophy
Within the framework of cultural and academic cooperation between Syria and Chile, the Chilean philosopher Gustavo Cataldo, from the Andres Bello university in Chile will on Sunday give a lecture on the Chilean philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Letters and Humanities – Damascus University.
The Chilean philosopher is visiting Syria at the invitation of the Chilean Embassy in Damascus with the aim of exchanging ideas and experiences with Syrian counterparts.
The lecture will be attended by the Chilean Charge de Affairs Patricio Brickle as well as the a number of university teachers and the students of the philosophy department.
Cataldo is also due on Monday to give a philosophy lecture titled El-instante: Lecturas de Heidegger de las epistolas de san Pablo (The Instant: Heidegger’s Readings of Saint Paul’s Epistles) at the private Faculty of Theology.
