Czech Republic awards two Syrian academics the title of Professor in honor of their scientific competence

PRAGUE, (ST)-  President Milos Zeman of the Czech Republic has granted the title of Professor to two Syrian academics: Dr. Jan Banout and Dr. Fabian Khatib in recognition of their scientific competence.

The grant was based on a proposal by the Scientific Council of the Agricultural University in Prague and the Scientific Council of the Higher Technical University in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.

Banout and Khatib were awarded this highest academic title within a list that included 80 Czech scientific and academic figures who proved their scientific and educational competence over many years in different specializations and branches of science.

 Professor Jan Banout is the Dean of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences at the Agricultural University in Prague, while Professor Khatib is teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies at the University of Brno and at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University in Prague.
