Czech Red Cross Sends Syria Three Fully-Equipped Ambulances

PRAGUE, (ST)- The Czech Red Cross announced on Monday that it sent Syria three fully equipped new ambulances, one of them is specialized for intensive care.

The aim is to contribute to providing health care to the Syrian people under the current difficult circumstances because of the ongoing war on their country, the Czech Red Cross said in a statement, adding that the ambulances will be handed over to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) like previous Czech humanitarian aid.

SANA correspondent in Prague said the ambulances will be handed over within the coming two days at Tartous Port in the presence of the Secretary General of the Czech Red Crescent Society in Prague Bashar Aqbiq, a SARC representative and a Czech embassy representative.

Last March, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomir Zaoralek announced that his country coordinates and cooperates with the Syrian government directly as to guarantee the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected Syrian citizens in different areas.
