Prague, (ST) – Czech President Milos Zeman confirmed that the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani with American missiles near Baghdad International Airport constituted a violation of international law.
Ziman in an interview with the Blessk website said that the assassination of Soleimani had the opposite effect of what the Donald Trump administration wanted, pointing out in this context to the marches of millions of Iranians showing the unification of the Iranian people and their stand behind their government.
Zeman considered that the accident of the Ukrainian plane crash in Iran was a mistake and came as a result of the assassination of Soleimani and the Iranian response by targeting American bases.
In turn, Deputy Speaker of the Czech House of Representatives of the Czech Communist Party Moravian Wojtyk Philip affirmed in an interview with the Czech TV channel XT that the assassination of Soleimani by the American administration represented an act of unprecedented aggression.
He pointed out that Britain and France, as members of the Security Council, had to request at least an explanation of what happened from Washington because this process is a massive aggression and provocation that contradicts international law and could spark a global conflict.
