Czech politicians: Erdogan violates international law by attacking Syria and using immigrants to blackmail Europe

On March 3, the Deputy President of the Moravian Czech Communist Party, Chairman of the Czech Parliamentary Friendship Association with Syria, Stanislav Grossbich condemned the aggression of the Turkish regime against Syria.

In a statement posted on the party’s website, Grossbich stressed that the attacks committed by Erdogan regime on Syrian territories contradict international law.

He noted Syria’s efforts to fight terrorists and extremists, especially in the governorate of Idlib.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Movement for Freedom and Democracy Radim Viala stressed that Erdogan’s regime has become a threat to Europe as it uses immigrants as a weapon to blackmail the European countries.

Viala called for a referendum on the Czech Republic’s continued membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), expressing his rejection of Czech presence in NATO alongside an aggressive dictatorship country like Turkey.

For her part, a member of the European Parliament for the Czech Republic Katrina Konichna confirmed that Erdogan is using the file of immigrants and as blackmail against Europe, in response to the refusal of the European Union countries to help him in his aggressive war against Syria.
