Prague (ST): Member of the European Parliament for the Czech Republic Ivan David has affirmed that the United States’ announcement on suspending part of the sanctions imposed on Syria under the so-called “Caesar Act,” is nothing but a failed attempt to mislead world public opinion and beautify its image in front of the world.
In a commentary posted today on his Facebook account, David said: These sanctions “continue to make the situation more difficult in Syria, as it practically prohibits the import of any materials to this country or the sending of aid to it.”
David stressed that “the high number of victims under the rubble will not make the West limit its policies and practices aimed at interfering in the internal affairs of states, as it does not care about humanitarian cases.”
