PRAGUE, (ST)_ Radovan Vích, Deputy-chairman of the Committee on Defense of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, has denounced the unilateral and coercive measures being imposed by the West on Syria.
Speaking to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Prague, Vích said that the European Union has imposed these sanctions upon dictates from France and Germany, which have the final words in the organization, while Czech has not done that .
“These states [France and Germany] have not changed their stances towards the sanctioned states even for humanitarian reasons amid the global outbreak of Covid-19,” he added.
Vích asserted that his party [Freedom and Direct Democracy (Czech: Svoboda a přímá demokracie, SPD) ] is against the policy of sanctions and calls for lifting them.
