In an interview with Sputnik, , Hayek said that NATO and the European Union received a strong blow in Afghanistan, expecting that this would affect not only the United States, but also the alliance countries.

He believes that what is happening now in Afghanistan is a new evidence that the imperialist policy is about to end and that the unipolar policy has ended, pointing out that this matter has been happening for a while, but it has become more clear.
