Czech parliamentarian: Western and Ukrainian behavior is the reason for not extending the grain agreement

Member of the Czech House of Representatives Jiri Kobza confirmed that the West and Ukraine did not abide by the grain agreement signed between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations, unlike Russia, considering that the termination of this agreement brings new tension to international relations.

Kobza stated in an interview with the Parliamentary Papers website that at a time when Ukrainian ships were transporting grain across the Black Sea, the so-called ammonia pipeline was blown up, through which Russia was supplying global markets with ammonia, which is the most widespread type of agricultural fertilizer, and certainly Russia did not detonate it, and for this reason, fertilizer prices have skyrocketed.

The Czech official pointed out that the West also did not abide by its promise to re-include the Russian Agricultural Bank in the international banking system SWIFT, and the recurrence of terrorist attacks on the Crimean bridge made Russia not agree to extend the work of the grain agreement, which would harm Ukraine more than others. He pointed out that the overseas markets to which Ukraine exports its grain will replace Ukraine with other countries, while Russia will strengthen its position as a pivotal source of grain to Africa because the termination of the agreement does not affect it, as it has other land and sea transport routes.
